Tile Roofing

This system consists of two major components, the underlayment and the actual roof tiles (which can be made up of clay or concrete.

The underlayment serves as the main waterproofing agent and will typically last between 15-20 years. We usually use two different methods, a 2-ply system bonded with hot tar or a self-adhering modified bitumen membrane reinforced with fiberglass.  We recommend using the Self-adhering method because it is the most technologically advanced method and is made with the same materials used on flat roofs.

The tiles, on the other hand, are not the main waterproofing agent. Their main benefits are to provide the home with better energy efficiency than shingles, and be able to withstand extreme weather (like hail or wind) better than any other roofing system. Roof tiles are available in the common S-shape or Flat (low-rise).

At Servicio Romero Roofing we always makes sure to follow city code to ensure the project will pass city's final inspection.
